This page is a basic record of what I have done since I started going to gigs.

2000 Got given a lot of dates with Mr Blue. Still doing quite a few gigs at the Guildhall, Glouc. Busiest January yet!
Joined Mister Blue as bass player, so I'm playing bass and supplying the PA.
Did the sound a few times for Baka Beyond. One in Oxford, one in the Jazz Cafe in London, and one in Aegina, Greece!
Recorded demos for Mister Blue and Studio 54.
1999 Engineering quite a few gigs at the Guildhall Arts Centre in Gloucester. Quite a few bands bring their own engineer to the Guildhall, so I don't always get to actually do the sound.
Stopped doing gigs at Window Arts Centre due to no transport!
Was asked to fill in, playing bass for a Soul band from Bristol, Mr Blue. Ended up doing a lot of PAs for them after they discovered I had one! Did a lot of weddings, and corporate events, in Bristol, Kent, Brighton, Devon, Worcestershire, all over really. Carried on building up equipment.
1998 Started building my PA up again, as the Window Arts Centre in Bath were looking for someone to supply and operate a PA. They were putting on some good gigs.
Played the bass at a few gigs with Studio 54. A definite success! I'm up for more of that for sure! Such good fun!

"The Brazil Trip" I went to Saõ Paulo, in Brazil, to do the sound for Bath World Band 'Baka Beyond'
1997 Did a disco for my niece, Sophie and decided to get a kids disco together for the local area.
Started up the 70's Disco covers band Studio 54 in November.

1996 Started trading as LIVEWIRE. The Sound Engineer at the Guildhall Arts Centre, Gloucester was leaving for Chicago, and so I got my old job back! Still doing the occasional freelance job for Midas PA in Salisbury.

1992 Had to give up doing the PA to look after my nearly 3 year old son. I sold all my amplifiers and speakers and concerntrated more on things I could do at home, such as recording, computers and MIDI. I recorded a few local bands and started to build up my PC.

1991 Did my first gig at the Guildhall Arts Centre. Was still hiring out my PA to the general public.

1990 Bought a small PA and started self employment, trading as THE BATH PA COMPANY on the Enterprise Allowance Scheme. You got a grant of £1000 for one year plus what you could earn. There was a niche for local bands needing a PA at local venues. It was great, I did all kinds of gigs in all different places. Every gig was totally different from the next. I also was the in- house sound engineer for a club called Players in Bath. I borrowed some money to buy another van, as my poor 1969 VW Camper wasn't built for PA work. That all went terribly wrong and didn't work out.
1989 Did the PA for the first time on my own, in Hale Hall, Salisbury with Oi Polloi and a three other bands. Went really well, the only panic I had was during setting up, the PA didn't work at first. All was fine once I'd realised I hadn't turned the amps on!

1985 Left school and went on a carpentry YTS at the aforementioned Longacre hall. After 9 months I switched to Media Studies, covering Photography, sound, video production and graphic design.
Attended more gigs, quite a few in London
.
1984 Started going to gigs at the local Longacre hall, Bath. Sadly closed in about 1990. Got interested in doing the Sound and live music in general from attending these gigs.
